Our Learning Intention was to dissect a sheep heart and identify the different parts. How well do you think you carried out this task?
JoJo & Kiahni sharing their introduction to heart dissection with the heart facing them so it's actually back to front, ie left is right and right is left
Today I cut open a sheep heart. I think I went alright through the process. It made me feel sick. The smell was horrific. I found a blood clot I’d give myself a 3/10
I was able to find that the left side was thicker and the right side was thinner. I did not carry out the dissection of the heart as expected but i found a lot out about the heart
12 august 2019 Dissecting sheep heart The learning intention today was to dissect a sheep's heart to see each part we have been studying about and we got cut up and see the different parts of the heart.
It disgusted me, I was a little bit unconfident today in science, because i don't like body parts! My partner Shanen was keen to cut into the sheep's heart she was enjoying it, maybe in the future she might want to be a meat worker. Shanen was so satisfied
I learned today with my partner was where every and each part n vessels were directly in the heart
Today I cut open a heart it was really not cool because I’ve seen the inside of a heart a long time ago and it was alright but I give myself a 10/10 in today's lesson.
Today I performed surgery on a sheep's heart. I think I did really good at at carrying out this task. I'm gonna be a surgeon. By the way this was grosse stink and disgusting.
Today I was really proud of my work I did on the heart with the people I was working with, We made really good progress, learnt some new things that I didn't know about the heart, Learnt whereabouts everything was in the heart, the smell was really strong, the feeling was really weird but cool and i would like to do this experiment again in the future.
The learning intention today was to dissect a sheep’s heart to see each part we have been studying about. Me and my partners cut up the heart and finally got to physically see each part. I thought it was interesting to see. We got to see the tendons and valves.
Today I sliced up a sheep heart. I learnt a lot. The negatives about cutting up a sheep heart is that it is disgusting and sickening and stink and I don't think I will do it ever again because that is just YUCK!!!
The learning intention today was to dissect a sheep's heart to identify each part we have been studying. I think that I carried out this task very well because we felt the difference between the left and right side of the hearts and could identify the four different chambers in the heart.
Well that was obviously not a very positive experience but I would hope that you have learned how not to get stabbed again so that more time can be spent focusing on the task TK.
12 Aug Matters of the heart How well do you think you carried out this task I did terrible I did not like the smell but it is not as bad as popping cow guts with a knife it was fun chopping up the heart and looking at all of the pieces. That make up the heart heart it was also really confusing
Today we dissected a sheep heart to see each part of the heart we have been studying. We followed the instructions pretty well and got to see what a real heart looks like from the inside. We felt the difference between the right and left side of the heart. The left side was much more thick and tough seeing as it has to send blood throughout the entire body whereas the right side was thinner because it only sends blood to the lungs. Our group also saw a small blood clot, tendons, and veins.
Our Learning Intention was to dissect a sheep heart and identify the different parts. Today we dissected a sheep's heart so that we could see all of the different parts of a heart. We followed the instructions when dissecting the heart pretty well to achieve an outcome to where we could identify some of the different parts of the heart. By squeezing the heart we could feel that the left side was much thicker than the right side, because the left side has to send blood to the whole body. Our group got to see a small blood clot and the tendons of the heart.
I think I carried out this lesson pretty well because I was keen on cutting up the heart and seeing what the inside of the heart looks like. As for my partners they weren’t as keen as I was but they learnt where abouts the different heart functions were.
Today my group and I dissected a sheep’s heart. We got to see the 4 chambers including the left and right atrium and the left and right ventricle. We also got to see the Aorta, the inferior vena cava and the Superior vena cava. We felt that the left side was thicker than the right. And we learned that there were many valves and tendons holding the heart in position.
I detected a heart today I thought it would be funWhen I held it in my handIt was what I expected to be wet and Slippery one side of it was thicker than The otherWhen I cut into it the smell just hit me in the face it was awful I nearly ran to the bin Te Puke then the feeling went away . So that’s my experience cutting open a heart .
