Blood and Heart Disease Presentations

Kia Ora 10T students,

It is a pleasure for me to hear your presentation on various types of blood and heart diseases that affects many people in our society. This is a great way to bring about awareness about heart conditions people may suffer from and know what are the symptoms and treatment of those conditions.
I will appreciate if you all can comment on what have you learnt from the presentation of your classmates. Please be thoughtful about your comments.

Matters of the Heart

Our Learning Intention was to dissect a sheep heart and identify the different parts. How well do you think you carried out this task?

JoJo & Kiahni sharing their introduction to heart dissection with the heart facing them so it's actually back to front, ie left is right and right is left

Tena ra koutou e nga tauira harikoa o Ti Ngahuru

Kia ora koutou. There's a whakatauākī by a kuia called Te Puea Hērangi that says "Ka mahi au, ka kai au, ka moe au, ka mahi anō'. This proverb has been woven into one of the walls of our marae in Motatau that expresses the importance and benefit of working for what you want. Kia kaha tātou ki te mahi.

Our class post

I was very pleased that when I asked 16 questions to individual 10T students, only 2 times did I have ask the class to help with an answer. I truly appreciate the effort that students are making to truly engage in the learning to understand the parts and functions of the heart and blood. On Monday 12 August in period 2 we will do our heart dissection.

Nau mai, haere mai ki tēnei taonga

Welcome to our class blog for learning. This is where all of the teachers of 10T will share what's happening throughout the school year in class and with student mahi.
